In the week prior to November 5, 2022, the City of Buenos Aires will carry out, as every year, a series of proposals to celebrate diversity.
With a calendar full of activities, one of the most colorful events of the year returns to the LGBTIQ+ capital of the region: the City of Buenos Aires. At the end of October 2022, a new #ProudBA Week arrives to commemorate and make diversity visible and promote the inclusion of all identities.
During the #OrgulloBA Week organized by the General Directorate for Coexistence in Diversity, under the Undersecretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism, with the support of the City's Ministry of Culture, visitors will be able to enjoy parties, air free fairs, and sports competitions, live shows, photographic exhibitions, poetry workshops, plays, and much more at different points and in different neighborhoods of the city.
“Our City is a world reference in the celebration of LGBTIQ+ pride, which has become an emblem of Buenos Aires. Each new edition of #OrgulloBA Week is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to building an inclusive city in which the values of diversity and plurality are recognized and celebrated and in which we work so that all people have equality of rights,” said Pamela Malewicz, Undersecretary for Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism.
“This Week summarizes all the work that is done during the year. Going back to the streets together with so many artists, cultural groups and organizations that we work with on a daily basis is really very exciting. This event is unique in the region, it shows the place that diversity occupies in our culture”, explained Natasha Steinberg, General Director of Coexistence in Diversity.
